Policies to be implemented

POMIO MP Elias Kapavore has assured that the policy submissions approved by the recent East New Britain (ENB) provincial assembly will be implemented by the district’s development authority (DDA) board. Kapavore said the ENB government could not continue to wait for the Government, but utilised, the gradative powers given to the province in 2018. He commended ENB deputy governor Cosmas Bauk on setting minimum ward standards and local level government (LLG) revenue enhancement strategies, apart from the separation of the four amalgamated LLGs and creation of two new LLGs. Kapavore said the provincial government should develop an operational manual to monitor leaders at the ward and LLGs and measure their performances.
