PRIME Minister Peter O’Neill is confident that his People’s National Congress will form the Government after the 2017 general elections on the back of its successful policies of the last five years.
He said this yesterday after addressing the last of a series of public forums for political parties in the lead-up to the June elections at the National Research Institute yesterday.
Also present were some of his ministers – James Marape (Finance), Charles Abel (National Planning), Mao Zeming (Fisheries) Nick Kuman (Education) Michael Malabag (Health) and Richard Maru (Trade, Commerce and Industry) and Justin Tkatchenko (Sports and National Events).
“How confident are we? We have a record that can be measured to any government, whether you look at Pangu or NA (National Alliance) or PDM (People’s Democratic Movement) or any other party, O’Neill said.
“You can compare PNC to the records of any of those governments who were there before.
“The people decide. If they feel that we have not done the right thing, let me go fishing.”
