Politicians and public servants

Letters

POLITICIANS are elected into office after intensive campaigning and promises and their term of office lapses after five years.
The public servants are those who serve by executing duties.
Obviously in Papua New Guinea and Morobe, politicians may wish to appointment their cronies to compete, duplicated with servants on the ground.
The funds that are supposed to support programmes such as education and health in the wards and at local level government levels are diverted.
If this practice is not corrected, the rural-to-urban drift will continue to rise.
We need to support public servants at the LLG level.
