Pomat: N’Drasal was a loyal, dedicated cop

SPEAKER of Parliament and Manus MP Job Pomat has thanked a large contingent that accompanied the body of the late Morobe Police Commander Chief Supt Alex N’Drasal for burial in Manus.
The contingent was made up of officials from the Morobe government and Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) based in Lae and Morobe.
Pomat thanked them for showing the people of Manus their immense respect for late Chief Supt N’Drasal who died on Dec 16.
He said late N’Drasal had been a loyal and dedicated officer.
Those in attendance were Morobe deputy governor Willie Simbisi, Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour, four deputy provincial administrators of Morobe; Miring Sigoling (corporate governance), Kisu Lucas (physical infrastructure), Robin Bazzinu (social sector) and Masayan Mohat (economic services) and the two district administrators from Markham and Huon Gulf.
Police were represented by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for the Northern Command Peter Guinness, Manus Police Commander (PPC) Chief Insp David Yapu, acting Morobe Police Commander Chief Insp John Daviaga, Lae Met Supt (administration) Chief Insp Pauline Siaguru, Snr Insp David Kumayon (operations) and other police personnel including Bomana Police College Commandant ACP John Kolopen.
Morobe deputy governor Simbisi said N’Drasal had developed a good working relationship with the people of Morobe and had been instrumental in improving policing services in the province.
Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour said Morobe had lost a dedicated and inspirational police officer.
Late N’Drasal passed away on Dec 16 after a short illness at the Angau General Hospital.
He was laid to rest at Tawii village, Manus on Tuesday, Jan 12.
