Pomio leading in development

Letters

POMIO is one of the four districts that make up East New Britain.
At the moment, we can say that it is the fastest developing district in the province.
It is heartwarming to see development happening at Pomio, which has been the case for the last five to six years.
With the growth we have seen over the years, we have to give credit where is due.
This is made possible through the people’s trust in their leader, Pomio MP Elias Kapavore.
Pomio is leading in terms of good governance. We have seen acquittals for the district services improvement programme funds.
Pomio is always up-to-date with its acquittals.
Pomio is upgrading its five airstrips, building a hydro project, beginning the upgrading of Palmalmal Secondary School, receiving a very small aperture terminal (VSAT) system and receiving a sea ambulance.
They will be opening a Bank South Pacific branch in the district.
The district has bought a ship, MV Pomio.
It is good to see that they are building their first ever district hospital.
The district recently launched its integrated development plan 2021 -2025.
As a resident from Kokopo and a frequent visitor to Rabaul and Gazelle, I wonder what these districts’ MPs have done to show for their terms in Parliament.
