Port Moresby Rotary Club’s Santa makes special stop at Cheshire Homes

SEVENTEEN residents at the Chesire Disability Home at Hohola, Port Moresby, received gifts from Santa Claus and Port Moresby Rotary Club members on Sunday.
Club members included manager Lavinia Gangloff, community service director Adam Hughes (dressed as Santa), club sergeant Tony Whitten, retired Reverend Hoge Rabura, Anita Kong and with the escort of police personnel arrived at the centre with gifts courtesy of the City Pharmacy Ltd.
Chesire Homes project accounts officer Lillian Vincent said this was the second visit from the Rotary Club as they had visited the centre last year but the first visit with Santa Claus.
Vincent thanked the Rotary Club members and said it was honour and a blessing for the children at the centre who will be benefiting from the gifts.
Hughes dressed as Santa, said the Chesire Home was a centre that deserves such contribution and they are pleased to visit.
The Rotary Club has been carrying out many work with the organisation and wants to see that relationship continue.
From the 17, four were living with serious disability condition and were unable to move around but did managed to get a hug and Merry Christmas from Santa Claus.
