Preparing for term two

AS schools prepare to resume classes for term two next week, an education official has raised concern on the difficulties schools will face in enforcing the Covid-19 protocols.
Morobe education programme adviser Keith Tangui said maintaining social distancing would be a challenge in the classroom.
“We’ve got 40 to 60 students sitting in small enclosed area,” he said.
“If one student is infected, every student will be affected.”
Tangui advised all schools to prepare an isolation room for standby.
“I’ve talked with head teachers to have an isolation room at their school for immediate isolation of any student or teacher who shows flu-like symptoms,” he said.
“We cannot take any chances.”
Tangui said as classes resume next week, all schools must strictly adhere to the new normal which is a Government law.

  • sitting in the classroom is the same as sitting in the 25 sitter PMV bus. there are no strict rules apply with PMV Buses in Port Moresby. so far since the 2nd wave of Covid 19, I cannot see social distancing in the BUS and also Chines shops. are we joking about CVOID 19?
Please everyone must comply with the Nupela Pasin in order to prevent the virus from spreading.
