Preparing trainers

THE National Statistical office (NSO) is set to conduct training on structure listing and mapping across the country in preparation for the main census roll out.
NSO deputy director operations Josiah Joseph said the office facilitated a week-long training on structure listings and mapping for national trainers.
He said the trainers would go to provinces across the country and coordinate with provincial trainers to recruit structural officers and mappers to get projected data for the census roll out in communities.
Joseph said this at the closure of the training for first level trainers in Port Moresby yesterday.
The structural officers and mappers would visit every household in communities to count all the houses and the number of people living in those houses.
