PRIME Minister James Marape has offered staff of the Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) incentives such as land and homes based on their performance.
Marape told them during the launching of the IRC 2020 work plan that employees who were committed and carried out their duties without corrupt practices would be rewarded.
“I am willing to give land to each and every one of you for your house,” he said.
“I will ask your boss to sign a contract with each and every one of you for the performance-based incentive.
“If you remain in this office for the next 10 to 20 years, we will look for land and house for you based on your commitment to us – no complacency, no corruption.”
He said it was a good time to review what workers were doing.
“Look at the statutory organisation structure better and link your remuneration and condition to the performance-based incentive arrangement – but on a greater scale.”
