Private hospitals a letdown

I AM disappointed with the poor services provided by the so-called private hospitals in Port Moresby.
One particular private hospital insists on upfront money before providing any service, even emergency cases.
As a result, many patients, even in critical condition, are left unattended to until payments are made.
I have seen many people die while their families rush around trying to raise the necessary funds.
I call on the authorities to look into this matter and review the practising certificates of these private hospitals.
