Probationary policeman facing wilful murder charge remanded in jail

A PROBATIONARY policeman in Madang has been charged with wilful murder and remanded at Beon jail after a woman he had sex with died two days later, police say.
The corona’s report from Madang’s Modilon Hospital dated July 15 said the woman died after receiving a deep penetration of 7cm and 4cm wide to her vagina during sexual intercourse.
It said the posterior vaginal tear 4cm by 7cm directly led to the death, stating the mechanism of injury unknown but related to sexual assault by vaginal tear.
The woman was 21 and was the policeman’s regular partner as he would take her to his house often, according to Northern Command Assistant Comm of Police (ACP) Peter Guinness.
The policeman, Simin Carter, from Chimbu, appeared in court for mention yesterday but his bail application was rejected.
It was also alleged that he was often under the influence of alcohol and fronted up at the woman’s residence and demanded she go with him.
Their sexual relationship started almost a year ago, according to the report.
It said the Carter took the woman to his house on July 5 and had sex with her the whole night.
The next day she told friends about experiencing a sharp pain in her vagina.
She was admitted to the emergency unit at Modilon Hospital and died the next day (July 8).

  • we need report from the corner’s department in hospital to verify the real cause of the death. it might be due to suicide, in the case of the constable deserting her. ol nambis meri too so suicide taim man blo ol lusim ol ya, like (drug over-dosage). the reporter’s information had no witnesses against the court of law since its from a death person’s in the hospital although a primary source evidence. if the culprit (policeman) guilty, than the law will take its actions for justice.
