RECENTLY, some former executives of the Police Association from the Highlands and NCD complained that an amount of K4 million was missing from the association’s account.
This money was believed to be meant for the development of a housing scheme for members of the association.
The current president is denying the existence of these funds because he absolutely has no idea about of the existence of these funds. I believe he is telling the truth.
Instead of denying it he should conduct a thorough investigation into the dealings of his secretary general from the period the regime of former president Robert Ali was suspended up until when he was elected into office.
There is reliable information that the general secretary was the chairman of a housing committee in the former government sanctioned public servants housing project.
