Promising future with PNGEI

Letters

MANY university, college and Tvet graduates are looking for job opportunities around the country.
I suggest they look to the PNG Education Institute which provides a promising pathway for jobs in the education sector.
They are offering a one-year programme, diploma of teaching in Technical Vocational Education.
Trades people with certificates (five-plus years’ experience), diploma (two-plus years’ experience) can apply.
For university graduates, experience is not really a requirement.
It is a very good diploma programme that will add to content knowledge and experience.
It covers many areas like statistical research and reporting, finance management, professionalism, course development, assessment, instructional skills, teaching practice, computing, English and communication skills, etc.
After the completion of the course, you can find employment as a teacher in one of many private or government schools/institutions across the country, work as a trainer/training manager in the industry or start your own school/business.
The programme is one of the cheapest in the country costing around K5,000.
Applications close towards the end of the academic year.
If you are interested, you can go and enquire at the PNGEI admin office opposite Sir John Guise Stadium/adjacent to Ward Strip Primary School.
Be a steward of influence to the future of our country!
