Provide stability before elections

Letters

I URGE Prime Minister James Marape and his deputy Sam Basil to provide the much-needed stability in government institutions that require permanent appointments of heads before the issuing of writs.
There should be bureaucratic stability to run the government machinery during the elections.
Indecisiveness by governments, including the last one led by last People’s National Congress, has brought so much instability to most the government institutions at the national and provincial levels.
Therefore, all advertised positions should be filled with permanent appointees to weed out all unproductive petty politics culture within the public service machinery.
