PS Rutz maintain top spot

PORT Moresby Soccer Association action yesterday saw competition leaders PS Rutz maintain pole spot with a 1-0 win over Leilam, thanks to a goal by David Mosim.
Mosim broke the deadlock in the dying minutes to see the men in black and white seal the championship in the men’s premier division.
In other matches, newcomers Seeadler played their final-round fixtures with wins over Mungkas (3-2) and Momase (5-2).
A masterclass by Seeadler yesterday saw striker Danny Orim bag a hat-trick while teammates Rodney Mobiha and Pettyshen Elijah registered a goal each.
Quick reaction from Seeadler along with superb use of the ball inside Momase’s half saw them lead 3-0 at halftime. But Momase fought back after the break to bag two goals and Seeadler netted as many goals to seal victory.
Meanwhile, Maclarens stunned Keleiruna 3-1, with Tau Winnie and Joel Tiampo stealing the show.
University Inter defeated Cosmos 1-0 on Saturday to maintain second spot.
