CITY Pharmacy Limited Group founder Sir Mahesh Patel says the spirit of unity and respect must be imbedded in people as another Christmas draws near.
Launching the Christmas lights at the Stop & Shop Waigani Central in Port Moresby on Friday, he said: “Christmas is coming.
“The lights are not only for our staff, but also to thank our customers for supporting us throughout the year.
“Look at our Real Rewards members – about half a million members.
“So it is just a way to say thank you and to enjoy the spirit with us.”
Sir Mahesh said there were a lot of competitions organised.
The company will hold its national management conference with almost 200 people from around the country expected to come to Port Moresby.
“There are here for our CPL national managers’ conference and working on our strategy no what are we going to do next year to try and do better for the customers,” said Sir Mahesh, who established the pharmacy in 1987
and expanded it to include the iconic SNS supermarket chain.
Sir Mahesh, who was knighted in 2020 for services to communities and commerce, said operating a business was not easy.
“For these Christmas lights, we want the people to see it, want to do it more attractive, we want to improved year on year on to get the people excited,” he said.
“Seriously thank you, we’ve had a lot of issues this year, with refrigeration breakdown and IT issues and all the issues that the whole country is facing with foreign exchange and stock out issues.”
