Public Servants Netball Competition’s premier division produced some interesting results at the weekend as teams began to find their rhythm.
Having played a couple of games, players in all division are starting to settle on their final combinations and best line-ups.
The matches took place on Saturday at the Rita Flynn Netball Courts.
In the premier division matches Finance edged out NFA 16-15.
Finance, who dominated the first half, took their foot off the pedal as they allowed NFA back into the game.
With forced passes and missed shots at goal Finance made things difficult for themselves.
This allowed NFA to capitalise with dominance in mid-court and in the goal circle to close the gap.
However, Finance with the likes of former PNG Pepes Ravu Raula and Gasi Moka guided their team to the one-point victory.
In the second premier division game Works accounted for NBC, winning 27-12.
NBC, who made the semifinal last year were unable to keep up with a Works team that were determined to put in a strong performance against one of the stronger teams in the competition.
Works’ mid-court of Kapa and Nama Powih, alongside Vera Taboro took control of the centre court allowing their shooters to secure the 15-point victory.
