PUMA Energy (PNG) Ltd managed to complete significant projects throughout the country including a new aviation facility in East New Britain despite the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the company.
Country manager and director Hulala Tokome said the company was hit by the pandemic as other businesses but had stayed strong and looked after its employees.
“This year, we have had significant projects completed throughout PNG and this was even during the Covid-19 period,” he said.
“In Rabaul, we were able to complete a new aviation facility to support the Tokua terminal development.
“We’ve done significant projects throughout PNG.
“Nobody lost their jobs, we put in place measures to protect staff and their families.
“We found new ways of working, we adjusted our business model and we are still here today.
“Not only are we here today but we are investing and looking to grow our business in PNG.”
Tokome said one of those projects was completing the new fuel service station opposite the Port Moresby Nature Park.
