PUMA ENERGY has reopened its Bugandi retail site after an upgrade that took six months to complete at a cost of K3 million.
The site is run in a partnership between Puma Energy and Owa Investment Limited.
It brings the number of refurbished Puma retail sites in Lae to three in Morobe costing at K3 million each.
Puma Energy service stations at Eriku and Coronation also had facelifts and were re-opened earlier this year.
Puma Energy general manager Daniel Duffau said the re-opening symbolised the company’s commitment to bringing world-class retail standards to Papua New Guinea.
“The success of the Bugandi retail site is a testament to the collaborative efforts of our dedicated team, the support of the local community, and the trust of our valued customers,” he said.
“We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality products and services to our valued customers, and Bugandi is a testament to that dedication.
“Alongside delivering high quality products and services is our commitment to ensuring safety at all our sites, for both employees, our site customers and customers who visit our retail sites.
“This is an important factor to ensuring a high level of service.
“I would like to acknowledge Puma Energy’s partnership with Owa Investment Ltd.”
Duffau added that Puma Energy was proud to support PNG-owned businesses in the Morobe.
“John Papa has been operating this service station for more than 20 years and we are proud to partner with him,” he said.
“These are local businesses that contribute to both the local and national economy and help provide employment opportunities for Papua New Guineans.”
Duffau also acknowledged the support of support Deputy Prime Minister and Lae MP John Rosso’s efforts to improve Morobe.
“Together, we share a common vision for progress and prosperity in this region.
“Puma Energy stands shoulder to shoulder with the government’s aspirations and is fully invested in contributing to the growth and development of Morobe,” Duffau said.
