PX backs Hiri pageant

AIR Niugini has offered to provide a sponsorship of three international business class tickets and domestic tickets for contestants in the Hiri Hanenamo pageant that will take place on March 5.
Air Niugini commercial services general manager Paul Abbot said the sponsorship also came with discussions between them and the Motu Koita Assembly for future career pathways, especially those contestants of the Hiri Hanenamo pageant.
“Discussions and plans for us to work with contestants on future career pathways are underway as at least an opportunity to become part of the organisation wherever their interest might be,” he said.
Abbot said Air Niugini’s involvement came after Motu Koita chairman Dadi Toka Jr’s made a presentation on their plans and visions for the festival.
“Through his presentation of the festival’s vision and from our perspective, his vision was something that needed our support,” Abbot said.
