Raminai praised

Letters

THE National last week reported that Kagua-Erave MP Wesley Raminai had conducted a development forum to formulate a five-year improvement plan focusing on economic development.
I believe the forum was open for all sectors, educated people and leaders from Kagua-Erave to participate.
I congratulate those who attended because it shows their desire to see services delivered and lives improved.
Many of us from Kagua-Erave can recall there being no attempt to formulate such a plan over many years.
Raminai is commended.
With so much funding and devolution of powers down to the district level, a development plan is absolutely critical.
The plan will ensure there is greater coordination and visibility of public expenditure, reduced wastage of funds, and alignment of funding with priority sectors which matter most.
It is important that everyone including ordinary people, leaders and professionals of the district support the MP and his
team in implementation of the plan.
It is for the benefit of every
citizen of Kagua-Erave.
