Reconsider by-elections

Letters

THERE is a lot of talk on our streets whether it is appropriate to have by-elections so close to the national elections next year.
It will be costly for the Government to run by-elections.
Whether winners will bring significant developments for their electorates or provinces is doubtful.
I suggest that by-elections should not be allowed within one and a half years before national elections.
The governor of the province is the appropriate MP to be the care-taker of the vacant seat.
Over to the parliamentary legislators.
