Reducing salaries debatable

I AM of the opinion that we are in the very early stage of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is not the time to panic as far as our economic situation is concerned to take drastic measures to cut on salaries and allowances.
Or if there is a need then it should be taken to the floor of Parliament to be debated on and the elected members can come up with a satisfactory consensus on the matter.
The campaign to reduce MPs salaries is an old debate by those who previously were members of the opposition.
It has resurfaced again.
I am not against it but feel that our elected leaders should be given opportunity to properly debate about matters that concern their livelihood like anyone else in this time of Covid-19 crises before any major decision can be made on the matter.

  • Salary reduction is voluntary until you as a mandated leader who is people minded says compulsory. A true leader is some one that lays down his WHOLE for his people. Are you?
