Refugees a threat to PNG

AS a citizen of a country rich in resources, minerals, wildlife species and non-poisonous atmosphere, I am deeply worried about the well-being and security of my country. I oppose Foreign Affairs Minister Rimbink Pato’s decision in allowing the asylum seekers at Manus to have work permits after learning English, Tok Pisin and our native cultures. The first ten refugees to undergo the training were mostly from Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. This is a one-sided decision because they hold their Islamic and Hindu belief systems and have war experiences. I do not want to see explosions, nuclear threats or suicide bombings in my peaceful country. I love my native lifestyle and do not want to live in terror. Please, minister, think about tomorrow, not today.
