Communities and companies in Lae have made another donation to the volcano-affected people of Kadovar Island.
The supplies were handed over to the Morobe Disaster Office to ship to the victims at the Dandan Care Centre in Wewak, East Sepik.
The donation included 50 water containers, clothes, cooking utensils, mosquito nets, pillows and bed sheets.
Spokesperson Mathias Samagai said the supplies came from Chemcare Group, Bridestone Tyres, Bank South Pacific and Laga Industries.
“These donations came to us towards the end of last month,” he said.
“We had previously sent two lots of donations to our people at the care centre.
“The earlier donations came from the Sepik community, Wewak Island Group, the Shouten Island Group and others.
“We thank family, friends and companies who have supported us.”
He said anyone in Morobe who would like to help the Kadovar Islanders can contact him on 7271 9244.
The group is based at the Saint Therese Catholic Centre at Omili and are looking after all donations.
