Relocation is nothing new for utility Olo

BEING called into the SP Hunters squad for a second time is a blessing for Rabaul Gurias utility Stanley Olo.
After playing in the Hunters first and only match last season, the Chimbu native said he was excited to be back in the squad and was looking to make the final cut for next season.
“Being part of the Hunters is a dream,” the 24-year-old said.
“When you join the players, you experience the team culture which is built on respect and getting the little things right.
“Pre-season training has been the same as last year, there’s nothing new.
“But our coach has been telling us to keep to the basics so we’ll just be sticking to that moving forward.
“Looking forward to the 2021 season and for myself I’ve been away from my family for a couple of years.
“So if I get the chance to move down with the rest of team, it will be nothing new.
“I’ve been in discussions with my family and they are happy for me to play away next year.
“I’m happy for the new players who’ve come through.
“The senior players in the team are very humble, the way they’ve been talking to us and encouraging us and that’s the spirit of being part of the Hunters.”
Olo was initially omitted from the 2020 side last year but was called up into coach Matthew Church’s 17-man side for the Hunters’ first and only match of the season.
