Remington trains trainers in tech team

THE Remington Group conducted a three-week training-of-trainers course for three members of its technical training team.
It was to equip professionals with skills to identify training needs and to develop design tools for training.
The programme is a requirement for those aspiring to be instructors, trainers, workplace coaches and leaders.
Chief executive officer Peter Goodwin said the group was the only dealer for Konica Minolta and Fujifilm in PNG.
“We also sell and service other leading brands like HP and Canon. So, it makes sense that we train and maintain the best technicians to service our customers,” he said.
“Training Papua New Guineans is one of the most important tasks that we as an organisation have.”
The four technicians are Remington technology technical training and support manager Andrew Schmidt, Remington technology service manager Frederick Tolison, FX Business Centre senior service technician Micah Zale and Remington technology service field and technician supervisor Nelson Nombri.
They are now certified as instructors and trainers for Remington Technology and FX Business Centre.
Elite Training and Consultancy principal consultant James Tai said it was important for businesses to partner to deliver services effectively.
“The training of trainers course is an exciting way forward for Remington Group, specifically in developing their senior technical trainers.”
