Remove more settlements

Letters

WHILE I sympathise with families living at Garden Hills settlement, ample time was given to them to leave the area.
The settlement has been a breeding ground for thugs and drug addicts.
Petty crimes such as bag snatching, stealing mobile phones, hold-up, harassing females has been ongoing for quite some time.
My mother and sister were victims of thugs there.
I am relieved that such activities are now a thing of the past.
We would push to remove 2-Mile Hill, 5-Mile, Wildlife, Sabama and Badili settlements such as Gorobe which are breeding grounds for criminal activities.
Removing settlements would pave the way for development and people should accept this and consider other locations to live.
We want people to move freely without fear.
More settlements in Port Moresby should be removed for the sake of development.
Times have changed and people should embrace that.
