Residents seek help

 RESIDENTS at the Bodiam Settlement at 6-Mile, NCD, whose homes were destroyed and ransacked in an ethnic fight, have called for assistance from the Government and the business community.

Representatives of the settlers, mostly from Chimbu, said the trouble was between them and Eastern Highlanders from a nearby settlement.  

“The families have lost homes, a trade store and animals in the raid  and many are now living with neighbours. One man was also speared,” a spokesman said.
