RETIRED officers who are still occupying police homes in Morobe have been issued another warning by provincial commander Augustine Wampe to vacate them by the end of this month.
Wampe directed his warning yesterday to personnel who were either retrenched, retired or dismissed from the force but still living in official homes like barracks in the province.
“There are several former police officers who are still occupying police homes in Finschhafen and other police stations. I warn them that they must vacate these homes before the year ends,” he said.
Wampe said housing issues for police was an ongoing problem so former police officers were obliged to vacate the police houses as soon as possible.
