THE maintenance of 11 roads at Boroko and Waigani in Port Moresby will be completed by the end of June, a city official says.

Deputy city manager engineering Simon Vai said six roads in the Boroko residential area and five in Waigani were currently undergoing maintenance work.

It is part of the NCDC roads rehabilitation and resealing programme tendered in 2012. The tender was awarded to Phoenix Builders Ltd late last year.

“The work in Boroko commenced in January and to date about 80% is completed,” Vai said.

The roads include Baubau Street, Meara Street, Huala Avenue, Lukua Avenue, Noko Place and Moru Street.
