Rosso plan inspires youths to keep market bus stop clean

THE Lae main market bus stop will now be monitored and kept clean.
Youths from Ward three of Lae Urban LLG started cleaning the bust stop area last Sunday.
Coordinator of Lae city youth association Peter Kua said under the ‘Better for Lae’ initiative by Lae MP John Rosso, the youths took it upon themselves to look after and clean the bus stop.
“We make it one of our approaches to give back something meaningful to this place as we have been here for so long and this is where most of us earn our living through doing marketing and other businesses,” Kua said.
Many youths and others living in Ward three used the market and the bus stop area to make money to sustain their day to day living.
Kua said market users, drivers and their crews were the ones that did not take care of their rubbish and carelessly dumped it in front of the main market which became an eye sore.
