Royals and Hohola Flies paly in the Port Moresby Rugby League top-of-the-table clash in the women’s competition at the National Football Stadium tomorrow.
After round 12, Royals are unbeaten on 22 points, one ahead of nearest rivals Flies (21). With their crop of youngsters in hooker Lynette Aua, captain Maryanne Kua and Berthsheba Awoi, Royals will look to former Papua New Guinea Orchids centre Naomi Kaupa to lead the way.
However, Kaupa has yet to rediscover her form and will be looking to put on a solid performance against a quality Flies outfit.
Flies coach Sammy Rice Jackson will need to play his cards right if they are to topple Royals.
Flies, through former Orchid Cathy Neap and speedstar Mala Mark, test the opposition’s winning form. The Flies, however, will be without Catherine Anjo who is in Sydney with the Orchids.
The Orchids take on Fiji in the Pacific Test tomorrow. In the other matches, Hawks face Butterflies and Kone Tigers do battle with Kone Storm while on Sunday, Magani face Sisters, Paga Panthers play Tarangau and West take on Souths.
