SUPPORTERS Club Rugby Union Morobe Under-17s returned from a campaign at the Queensland Junior Schoolboys’ Championships last week.
After getting edged for top place cup play-off honours by percentage, the side settled for the plate playoffs, eventually beating the Gold Cost 29-14 in the plate final.
Toowoomba-based PNG local David Bora, and Total Rugby Concept recipients Isaac Chandrol and Butler Morris played key roles.
Meanwhile, 74 juniors trialed for the PNGRFU side to the Oceania Under-19 championship in Samoa.
Oceania’s championship dates are Nov 26 – Dec 8.
