THE Papua New Guinea Men’s Basketball League franchise PNG Ports Saints have the line-up to run down a revamped Chariots in Round 6 at the Sir John Guise Indoor Complex tonight.

Both teams are equal fourth respectively with two points each.

Saints have recruited Brisbane-based Paiwa Baldwin who is expected to lead from centre court.

He will have to get an effective combination going with guard Sibona Kala to  maximise his talent.

Chariots veterans Roy Gime and Morris Vele do not get easily rattled and will be counted on to keep a solid base for the Propest-sponsored side. They will have Ivan Pekaea and Jonathan Riu as back up.

Both teams have experience and should play to set patterns. They have one thing in common – both have lost to PMBL newcomers West Jokers.

Both sides can be competitve for periods but still need to make up ground  to match Exodus, Moni Plus Tamaraws and Jokers.

On Thursday night the biggest test is between unbeaten competition leaders Exodus and West Jokers while Tamaraws are on the bye.

The ladder: Exodus 8, Tamaraws 4, West Jokers 4, Saints 2, Chariots 2.
