BRIAN Bell chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says its clearance sale is a great way to give customers quality products at reduced prices.
“Since announcing our new outlet store concept in Boroko, we have seen an increase in traffic and some great sales off the back of seeing more people though,” he said.
“We realise there are lots of people looking for everyday bargains and this is a concept where we can realise that.
“The outlet store is dealing with product which has been marked down, because it’s being replaced by a new line or we are overstocked and want to move some products quickly.
“It’s also a concept which helps deal with our aged inventory – product which has been with us for a while and not sold as quickly as we would like.
“It allows us to mark it down and then move it more quickly at a reduced price.
“Boroko is the only outlet store in our group so its new and exciting concept for us.
“We will continue to promote new clearance or sale items, the store also carries regular retail priced products like all of our other stores, but deals with more clearance items than all of our other stores.
“This is a great way to move clearance lines and dedicate one of our store’s just for that.”
Mackellar said it had been a strong start to the year for the business despite the pandemic.
“It’s been a strong start to the year for us so far, despite the challenging economic times and of course the coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
“We have a number of other special events planned around the country in the coming months and look forward to announcing those shortly.”
