Santos names new chief finance officer

SANTOS has appointed Anthea McKinnell as chief financial officer from Jan 1.
She replaces Anthony Neilson who has held the role since December 2016.
He will stay with the company as chief commercial officer initially based in Sydney, where he will play a key role in overseeing the transition of the Oil Search business.
Santos managing director and chief executive officer Kevin Gallagher said McKinnell had been with Santos as deputy chief financial officer since 2019.
“She has extensive experience in the industry, having previously spent 13 years at Woodside where she held several senior executive roles, including senior vice-president finance and treasury, vice-president global operations planning and performance, and acting chief financial officer.
McKinnell is a fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
She holds a master of international tax from the University of Melbourne and a bachelor of commerce from Curtin University.
Gallagher said McKinnell had gained a deep experience of the Santos business in the past two years, including leading the successful US$1 billion (about K3.4 billion) US144A bond transaction in April 2021.
