Sape awarded ‘iconic woman’

WOMEN in Business founder Janet Sape has been named winner of the first PNG APEC Iconic Woman award.

The award is in recognition of her achievements as an “extraordinary and outstanding woman icon” for micro small and medium enterprises through her commitment, vision and leadership that have made a remarkable impact for women in business and the society as a whole.

The announcement was made yesterday by the Minister for Community Development, Religion and Youth Delilah Gore.

Gore thanked and congratulated the other women who had taken brave steps to participate in the Women Icongraph competition that was exhibited on Sept 16-18 in Manila.
