Say no to gold bullion policy

Letters

AMONG the increasing chorus of a no vote against the proposed Gold Bullion Bill, I wish to pen a few words.
First and foremost, congratulations to our print media for doing an excellent job on this issue. I urge them to continue bravely and persistently.
Only through your reporting, the truth will be revealed and told.
Keep the fire burning.
I think, in a nutshell, the comments by Anthony Smare says it all: Draconian self-centred piece of legislation. That is hitting the nail squarely on its head.
Come May, I urge all members of Parliament to rise up and throw this proposed (stupid) legislation out of the window or, better still, bury it.
The proponents of this facade legislation (engulfed only with avarice motivation) will be fighting tooth and nail in defence.
But the interests of the people of PNG is paramount, therefore, it takes precedence and reigns supreme at all times.
The gold on/under our land has been there for time immemorial – let it be.
