THE Transformation International Destiny School established in Vunakalkalulu in 2009 by Alfredah Nguak gives children the best possible start to their education.
The school is located in the Vunakalkalulu Ward in the Reimber-Livuan local level government (LLG), Gazelle, East New Britain.
Vunakalkalulu native Nguak is the head teacher.
The concept of the school began in 2006 and was brought to reality three years later.
The school has a total of 19 early childhood learning institutions in East New Britain including the one at Vunakalkalulu.
Destiny schools are early childhood learning institutions founded and managed by Covenant Ministries International (CMI).
The Vunakalkalulu school teaches the Jolly Phonics programme named after the founder Chris Jolly.
Jolly phonics consists of an English programme taught to children in kindergarten (grammar one to six) and for elementary one up to grade six.
Jolly phonics enables children as early as the age of five to fully understand and practically execute the phonetic interpretations of the English language.
The curriculum taught is similar to primary schools.
Grammar six students’ level of education and intellect is equivalent to those in grades seven and nine in primary and high schools.
One of the school’s best achievements was the graduation of 13 pioneer elementary two students on Nov 14.
