DESPITE the country’s Covid-19 challenges, Kokopo’s Romen Grammar School held its inter-house carnival and ended the event on a high note last Friday.
School administrator Mary Romen Julai said they cancelled their inter-house carnival last year but they managed to stage the one-day event this year.
The day started with a march as students from the early learning to the lower primary of Grade 5 got into their four teams – Bernard, Charles, Benji and Chris.
It was entertaining as students early learning took part in games like breaking balloons, musical chairs and other ball games such as tunnel ball while the bigger ones took part in the ball games like volleyball and rugby touch. They took part in track events as well.
Team Bernard did very well in all the games and scored 116 points to finish first, Team Charles came second (104), Team Chris third (98) and Team Benji last (95).
