SDA leader expected

PRESIDENT of Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church worldwide Pastor Ted Wilson will arrive this Thursday in the country and will be based in Minj in Jiwaka for two weeks to preach the gospel.
Chairman of the PNG for Christ programme for the SDA church, Pastor Milly Kuso said 300 plus international preachers from all over the world would be in the country during that time in 2,000 plus sites to preach the gospel as well.
“The preachers are from United States (US), New Zealand, Australia, and pacific island countries, will be based at the 2,000 plus sites,” Kuso said.
He said the event would see a thousand plus souls converting and would be a big harvest of souls.
“It is a blessing to have the world’s leader in the country,” he said. “To spend two weeks to preach the word of God can change a lot of things.”
He said the president would start preaching on April 26 at 7.30pm in Minj on the topic ‘revelation of hope’ and by the same time, all the international preachers on the 2,000 plus sites would start preaching as well.
Kuso confirmed that the president would also visit Eastern Highlands, Morobe, and Madang.
He said after the programme, before he returns to US, the president would have a religious liberty meeting with both the Government and Opposition teams to address tribal warfare in the country.
The church’s area supervisor for Jiwaka Pastor John Kundapen said that the SDA congregation of Jiwaka were ready.
