THE festive season is a precious moment to share with others and reconcile with families and friends to instil peace before the New Year, Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour says.
Seymour said as Christians, it was crucial to uphold and encourage peace and harmony by attending church services and sharing with people in different walks of life.
Seymour said these when allocating K100,000 to youths in three local level government areas including Morobe, Salamaua and Wampar for sports during festive period.
He said sports was a crucial avenue for youths to come together, participate and share sporting principles while creating relationships that maintain peace instead of getting involved in anti-social activities.
He said sports also played a big part in the lives of young men and women to realise their talents.
Seymour said the money was divided among the three LLG’s for several sports in Lower Watut and Gabsongkeg for Wampar Rural, West Taraka for Wampar Urban, Buakap for Salamaua and Dona and Aingse for Morobe post.
