Security firm keen on investing

A SECURITY systems company in Australia which was at the PNG Security Congress in Port Moresby this week will look at investing in the country.
Ezi Security Systems business development manager Anthony Smits said they had security solutions installed at the Australian High Commission in Port Moresby 13 years ago.
Ezi Security Systems designs, manufactures and installs a range of vehicle and pedestrian access control, with specialised expertise in hostile vehicle mitigation and protection of crowded spaces.
“This is my first trip to PNG,” he said. “I see a fair need here in protecting assets with physical barriers and protecting public spaces.
“We have some stuff here already, all that to protect the Australian High Commission.
“But we will see what the response is in this space and it should be good.”
Smits spoke to The National on the sidelines of the PNG Security Congress in Port Moresby this week.
“We put those gates at the high commission 13 years ago and I guess the need and the desire to have those protection hasn’t been as great as it is now,” he said.
“That is why we are here at the show.”
Hopefully we can help the community as well.”
