Sell bags in shops

ALMOST all shops in East Sepik have banned the issuing of shopping plastics bags since 2019.
Although awkward for customers as they are used to being given plastic bags, the idea is great and environmentally friendly.
But why are they banning plastic bags and selling sewn bags on the streets instead? It will be better if those bags are sold at the counter at an affordable price.
