STUDENTS doing matriculation studies at the Brugam University Centre in Maprik, East Sepik, will soon have their own classrooms and administration buildings.

Secondary schools in Maprik and Brugam have allocated land to construct the classrooms and buildings for the students of the university centre.

They should be ready for use the second semester of this year.

Centre director Patrick Faik said in Maprik last Thursday the hiring of facilities for tutorials and meetings had cost the district administration and the university centre a lot.

Faik said communities leaders in Maprik had worked together to build the two buildings. It includes the South Sea Evangelical Church, district education office and the university board.

Faik said local MP John Simon, through the joint district budget priority committee, gave K50,000 from the K100,000 allocation for the centre.
