BUSINESSWOMAN Lisa Onglo Mose is running the Puma service station in Boroko, Port Moresby, pretty well.
Well enough that it was recognised by Puma Energy as the best service station in Port Moresby last year.
Mose took over the business from her parents.
“My parents were in the fuel business in Port Moresby,” she explained.
“Back in 2010, when I finished school, I helped them run this business when InterOil was around.
“We sold 1 million litres per month and we received awards for the Waigani Service Station.
“That was under my parent’s company.
“My parents left the business after my mum passed away.
“I wanted to get the service station back but they saw that I was running it well, so I asked them if I could run it under my own company.
“I had a company that was doing some shoes and stuff in November 2018.
“We have been here at Boroko ever since.”
Mose is the managing director of Nice Holdings Ltd and also runs the service station.
“We received an award last year for the best services station in Port Moresby, due to the place being clean and our liters
increasing,” she told The National.
There are 24 staff employed at the fuel station.
Mose aims to expand the business in the city.
“That is why we are trying to perform well and if there is any new service station, then we will try to get it.”
She thanked Puma Energy for the support.
“Puma have always come out to support us. Last November, they did an online training about safety. I helped my staff to go online and they were all excited.
“The training was supposed to continue but due to the Covid-19, it stopped.”
Mose is married with two sons.
“There are a lot of service stations popping up now, and competition has increased, but, there are a lot of promotions at Puma that customers can get.”
