Settlement issue

Letters

PORT Moresby, capital of PNG, has Parliament, the country’s international airport, wharf, headquarters of different Government departments and State-owned entities along with the state learning and training institutions is now becoming a place for settlements.
From the settlements come betel nut sellers, criminals, prostitutes, street vendors, street kids, thugs and an unskilled population.
This leads to overcrowding, congestion, hold-ups, robberies, spitting of betel nut, throwing rubbish plus many more disgusting activities.
Other countries around the world encountered such problems and their leaders looked into them and found solutions.
Why can’t the same be done here?
NCDC has been fighting a losing battle for too long with wastage of enormous resources that could have been used in other worthwhile causes.
The onus is on the National Government now. Charter aircraft and fly vagrants back to their homeland or leave them here for the worst to come.

Worst come to Worst
