Settlement need water supply

Letters

MORE than a thousand people who live at the Morata one settlement have been facing water problems since Port Moresby was established in the late 50s or 60s.
This settlement is located in the centre of Port Moresby which accommodates both the working and non-working people.
The people at Morata one settlement have been using the swamp, drain and rain water for washing, drinking and cooking.
Their MP, member for Moresby North West Sir Mekere Morauta and National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop have done nothing to address this.
We have been voting them into Parliament to bring services to where we are but they can’t deliver what we need in life.
We are human beings as others in Port Moresby but it seems that we have been forgotten by our elected leaders.
No man on earth can live without water for a day.
Please look into this problem.
It is a laughing matter telling others about this issue when Morata one is just five kilometers from the National Parliament and is located in the centre of Port Moresby.
