Share offer for landowners

Business

A LOCALLY-OWNED alluvial mining company in Morobe plans to offer landowners shares once when it starts operating.
New Dawn (PNG) Mining Ltd director and chairman Nile Jingharn said landowners of Sandy Creek valley in the Wau-Bulolo district would directly benefit from shares apart from compensation claims, royalties, spin-off business and other benefits. Jingharn said NDML was a wholly-owned company with a core vision to work in partnership with landowners by giving them a stake in the operations as part owners.
He said, though a small-scale mining company, it was important for Papua New Guinean companies to venture into the industry and for landowners to be owners.
